Book Sale a Big Success!

The Friends of the Seymour Library are pleased to announce the huge success of their first Outdoor Mini Pop-Up Book Sale on October 14th.

A perfect fall day brought many community members to the library parking lot to shop for books. Shoppers enjoyed the Mystery Boxes of Books, sold with a handmade face mask for $5.00.

The lucky winner of the Halloween Basket Raffle was Barb Gifford.

The Friends will continue to sell Mystery Boxes of Books near the Circulation Desk with either a free face mask or mask lanyard. The boxes will be $5.00.

You’ve returned items; why are they still showing as checked out?

Several patrons have called and asked why items they’ve returned are still listed as checked out on their online accounts. The answer is that Seymour Library (and all other MCLS libraries) now quarantine all returns for at least 72 hours, in accordance with COVID-19 guidelines for safe handling of materials. After 72 hours, the items are then checked in, back-dated to the original return date (to avoid fines for items that were returned on time).
