The biannual Friends of the Seymour Library book sale will take place beginning on Wednesday, April 23rd at 6:00 pm until closing. It will continue until Saturday, April 26th, ending at 3:00 pm. Proceeds will go toward support of library programs and development through the Friends organization. We look forward to seeing you there!
The Seymour Library now offers a streaming option through the Kanopy platform. All Seymour Library patrons residing in Monroe County municipalities of the Town of Sweden, Town of Clarkson, and Village of Brockport will have access to this service with their library card.

The Seymour Library Board of Trustees will meet every third Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the library.
The dates are as follows:
January 15th; February 19th; March 19th; April 16th; May 21st; June 18th; July 16th; August 20th; September 17th; October 15th; November 19th; December 17th.
Any special meetings will be posted no later than 72 hours prior. All members of the public are welcome at library board meetings.

The Seymour Library will close early on Tuesday, January 31st at 4:00 pm. The library will remain closed on New Year’s Day, Wednesday, January 1st. The library will reopen for regular hours on Thursday, January 2nd at 10:00 am.

The Seymour Library will close early, at 5:00 pm, on Wednesday, November 27th. The library will close in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 28th. We will reopen at 10:00 am on Friday, November 29th. Have a happy and safe holiday.
The Seymour Library will serve as a election site for the 2024 Presidential Election. The polls will open on Tuesday, November 5th, at 6:00 am and close at 9:00 pm. Please note, the library service hours will remain unchanged. Library services will run from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm.
Please note: The library does not serve as an early polling site. We do not offer early voting in any capacity. We can offer voter registration cards and election information, but patrons cannot cast a ballot. Our friends at the Sweden-Clarkson Community Center will host early voting from October 26 to November 3. Please find more information here: https://www.monroecounty.gov/elections.

The October 2024 Friends of the Seymour Library Book Sale raised over $2,200. The Seymour Library and the Friends appreciate the community support in taking the time to rehome books for a good cause. Thanks to everyone who came!

The Friends of the Seymour Library semi-annual book sale will begin at 6:00 pm on Wednesday, October 16th, 2024 and continue to Saturday, October 19th. The Friends will continue to offer the bag sale on the last day, so come early or late to find something for you. The Friends mission continues to support the Seymour Library in numerous endeavors, including the summer reading program, the bookmark celebration, and year-round programming. As a reminder, the restrooms will remain under construction during the sale. The restroom trailers will remain outside and operational. The library has a limited use restroom for ADA compliance and child changing. Please see a librarian for details.
