Library Closed Until Further Notice

Updated 7/1/20

Due to concerns over the coronavirus, and following the recommendations of Monroe County officials, the Seymour Library in Brockport will be closed to the public until further notice.

While we’re closed:

  • Curbside pickup is available at certain times.
  • Download E-Content (Ebooks, digital magazines, audiobooks, videos) and use Databases for homework, research, genealogy, and more.  Is an expired library card preventing you from accessing e-content?  Fill out this form to have it renewed, or contact us for help.

  • Check our Events Calendar and Facebook page for online programming, some live-streamed.

  • Contact us with reference or other questions.

  • No fines will accumulate during the close. Our outside book returns have been locked, so please hold on to your library items
For items checked out before we closed to the public on March 17, due dates were extended to June 29, 2020 and no fines accrued between 3/17 and 6/29.  For items checked out on or after June 29, due dates are the normal periods — 3 week loans for everything except DVDs (which loan for 1 or 2 weeks depending on type) — and fines are now accruing.

  • Our book drops are now open.

  • The library’s WiFi is still available from the parking lot.

Thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.

Mike Boedicker
Library Director
